This is another example of a large commercial analogue addressable fire alarm system installed in a development of over 40 apartments in Plymouth.

Installed using a Kentec fire alarm panel and Hochiki detection.

A full rewire including dedicated mains bought this building up to current standards for fire detection regulations BS5839.

Erected and set, the foundation box is loaded with the motor and the engaging drive arms.

The gate is hung and levelled. Time to back fill our dig and concrete the foundation box in.

We took delivery of our newly fabricated and galvanised gate and posts.

This has been laid out and been configured with our premade jig to make sure that everything is installed perfectly true and straight.

We have also aligned the foundation box which will house the enclosed direct drive motor.

This gate will be over clad with a lovely wood finish which will be in keeping with the existing fencing

This is a surface mount vandal resistant access pin code device installed in conjunction with a fob access system to give varied but controlled access to a powered access automatic door.

This system has the option of 1 – 20 pin codes to be programmed in.

This has now allowed the venerable residents in the lower ground floor area of this Housing 21 court get the care they need from district nurses visiting the building.

With the PAC Fob system that was already installed by us the building now has full control of who is gaining access whilst also making it very simple for people visiting the building.

The Good news is finally here, we have finally heard back from SafeContractor regarding our reaccreditation progress.

All our health and safety documents are up to date and in order.

We have had all our documents audited by a third party to make sure we are achieving the highest possible standards for health and safety for all works we are undertaking.

Having this done allows us to concentrate on what we do best and that’s Installations, Maintenance and Servicing of all types of electrical installations across the south west.

Having our reaccreditation come through this morning has meant we are able to carry on working for such companies like Housing 21 and OpenView.

A nice and neat home office installation carried out to keep the aesthetic of the property as homely as possible.

We were able to split and extend the ring main from a local socket point this allowed the installation of all the extra sockets to be compliant to BS7671 wiring regulations.

We also installed some further BT telephone extensions to allow the router and PC to be used with out extra cables running through the property.

We used centaur DADO trunking which has a nice aesthetic feel which helps keep the property to still feel like a house and not an office.

This is a before and after shot of a call out to a constantly failing CCTV system installed by others for Housing21 in Cornwall.

Upon first inspection it was apparent no regard to tidiness had been considered, the cables had been thrown in and the cat5e cables had been terminated and connected straight into the DVR.

Our proposal and permanent fix were to install suitable outlets for the cables and use factory made cat5e patch cables and replace the DVR to a more modern HD Hikvision recorder.

This is a project we have started this week locally in Plymouth.

The old wooden gate an automation system has got to a point of being to unreliable.

The aim now is to install a newly bespoke fabricated galvanised gate and posts to include a foundation motor which allows direct drive to the bottom of the gate.

More pictures to follow but as progress shows we are well under way and ready to erect our posts in the 600mm deep trench’s

We carried out five identical door entry upgrades in the Mendip Somerset area for housing management company Housing21.

The original warden call system was to be decommissioned but the residents of the blocks still required a means of letting in visitors.

This required the old very large door panel to be made good, so we opted for some lovely 3mm aluminium plate cut to size.

We very competitively supplied and installed these systems in a fast and efficient manor

This is a before and after from an emergency lighting upgrade we carried out in Plymouth for another management company in a block of 30 flats.

This consumer unit has been replaced due to the very poor cable connections and joints.

We have managed to pull back the 4 emergency light feeds from the main consumer unit and install them here with the fire alarm panel feed.

This now allows one precise location for all lifesaving equipment to be isolated and maintained safely.

This PTZ 15x zoom Hikvision camera has been installed on a small sister block to the main building using an Ubiquiti nano beam wireless data link from both buildings.

This is a perfect example of how neat a new set of architectural aluminium doors and full door automation can look.

We removed the old dated wooden door sets and installed these bespoke doors manufactured by Cornwall Aluminium Windows for a national management company in Cornwall.

Carefully installed by our in-house window and door fitter.

This is a remote dialling enquiry panel to allow access to the electronic release key safe.

This is a small part of a large Tunstall emergency call system installation.

These flush fitting panels have to be hand cut into the masonry wall making sure not to cause any damage.

These are programmed and connected to a remote monitoring centre who in turn can release the safe in an emergency.

A very quick and neat upgrade of a very old outdated door entry system in Totnes, Devon.

This was a small block consisting of only five flats, but it is a listed building meaning a lot of limitations on the installation.

We retrofitted the original panel meaning the aesthetic from the outside hadn’t changed.

This is a removal and replacement of a central powered battery backed emergency lighting system which had failed.

Upon discussions with the client Firstport it was agreed that all the old dated luminaries would be removed and new 6watt Knightsbridge EMLED1 fittings be installed.

As part of the upgrade the central control board was replaced for this very neat 6-way consumer unit allowing isolation for each section of the building.

This emergency lighting system is now running on less then 400watts of power.

When a customer asks a customer gets.

A request to install a new nest heating controls on a split controlled central heating system. This new build property has two controllable zones to achieve super efficiency through the house.

We were able to install it to run alongside the standard system still in situ for the upper part of the property.

Installed and commissioned with ease meaning the customer can now control their heating from there phone from anywhere in the world.
